Given:

height of parallelogram increased by 1cm

base of parallelogram increased by 2cm

To find:

New area of paralellogram

Solution:

Area of a parallelogram is equal to the product of base and height.

  area of parallelogram = Bh

where B is base and h is height.

If base is increased by 1cm

new base = B + 1 cm

if height of parallelogram is increased by 2 cm

new height = h +2cm

new area of parallelogram = (B+1)(h +2)

                                              =   Bh + 2B + h +2 square centimetre.

Area of new parallelogram is Bh + 2B + h + 2 square centimetre.

Answer:

55cm 2 (c)

Step-by-step explanation:

First you should increase everything so 4 goes to 5 and 9 goes to 11. Now that we have our numbers all you do is multiply. 5 x 11 = 55 and there is your answer.
