Answer:

let the height of a triangle  be h and base be b

h = 3 b

area = 1/ 2 * b * h

54 = 1/2 * b * 3b

108 = 3 b²

108 / 3 = b²

36 = b²

6 cm = b ( answer )

Your Answer:

Given:-

  \rightarrow \tt \: h = 3b \\  \\  \rightarrow \tt \: area = 54 {cm}^{2}  \\

To find:-

 \tt \frac{1}{2}  \times b \times h = 54 {cm}^{2}  \\   \rightarrow \tt \frac{1}{2}  \times b \times 3b = 54 {cm}^{2} \\ \rightarrow  \tt \: 3 {b}^{2}  = 108 {cm}^{2}  \\ \rightarrow   \tt {b}^{2}  = 36 \\ \rightarrow \tt  b = 6cm

So,

 \tt h=3b \\  \tt \rightarrow</p><p>h=3(6) \\  \tt \rightarrow</p><p>h=18cm

So, height is 18cm and base is 6cm
