if himalayas would not have been in its present position in india it would have been very cold in india,rain will not fall we would not have rice to eat .

We know that the Himalayas act as a barrier and prevent the northern icy winds from blowing into the subcontinent.
Therefore , If there was no existence of Himalayas ,
1>The continent would have followed a temperate climate.
2>Summers would have been usual (as they are) but winters would have been severely cold.
