I do not agree with the statement, there will be the presence of the plains but extreme climate.

  • If the Himalayas were not present, the moisture-laden wind would have gone farther north instead of pouring in the northern plains, leaving India without rain.
  • The Indo-Gangetic Plain would be bereft of vast alluvial soils if the Himalayan mountains did not exist.
  • Most parts of the nation will be struck by cold waves from Siberia, and the monsoon pattern would be different than it is now.
  • In addition, the monsoon winds that reach India collide with the Himalayas, bringing rain to the northern plains. Furthermore, on the northern plains, there would have been no snowfed rivers.
