maximum height attained by projectile is 16m

The maximum horizontal range of a projectile is 64m

we know formula of horizontal range is R = u²sin2θ/g , where u is initial speed and θ is angle of projection.

for maximum horizontal range , sin2θ = 1

θ = 45°

now 64 = u²/g ⇒u² = 64g ........(1)

now, maximum height attained by the projectile is u²sin²θ/2g = u²sin²45°/2g = u²/4g

from equation (1) we get,

= 64g/4g

= 16 m
