Area of triangle : 1/2 b*h

Isosceles right triangle with hyp of 8.

a^2+b^2=8^2

a^2+b^2 = 64

a^2 = b^2

2 a^2 = 64

a^2 = 32

a = 4 sqrt 2

a= b so b = 4 sqrt 2

1/2(a*b)

1/2(32)

16 cm^2

Answer:

x=5.65

Step-by-step explanation:

let the one side be x

than the another side will be also x

h^2= L^2+b^2

8^2= x^2+x^2

64= 2x^2

x^2=64/2

x=√32

x= 5.65
