God knows best........

In the isosceles triangle opposite sides

are equal.

let the equal sides is a

x^2 + x^2 = (Hypotenuse)^2

2x^2 = (8.2^1/2)^2

2x^2 = (8)^2.(2^1/2)^2

2x^2 = 128

x^2 = 128/2

x^2 = 64

x = 64^1/2

x = 8,-8.

Therefore x = 8 (or) -8.

I hope it is helpful to you........
