Given : integers - 15,12,- 17, 1, 5, 6 are marked on the number line

To Find :  the integer on the extreme left is

Solution:

Numbers with a negative sign are less than zero

Right of zero represented by ‘+’ sign and to the left of zero represented by ‘–’ sign.

+ sign numbers can be denoted as simply numbers

On a number line the number increases as we move to the right and decreases as we move to the left.

integers - 15,12,- 17, 1, 5, 6 are marked on the number line

Number on left side decreases and on right side increases

Hence the integer on the extreme left is  smallest integer

Hence arranging integers in order

- 17 , - 15 ,  1  , 5  , 6  , 12

Hence -17 will be on the extreme left
