{ \huge{ \underline{ \red{ \bf{Given}}}}}

Lateral surface area of cube = 900 cm²

Find :- Length of its side

Solution:-

{ \to{ \sf{LSA\: of \: cube = 4 {s}^{2} }}}

{ \to{ \sf{4 {s}^{2}  = 900}}}

{ \to{ \sf{ {s}^{2} =  \frac{900}{4}  }}}

{ \to{ \sf{ {s}^{2}  = 225}}}

{ \to{ \sf{s =  \sqrt{225} }}}

{ \to{ \sf{s = 15cm}}}

Therefore Length of its side is 15 cm.

  • The length of the side of a cube = 15 cm.

Given :

  • The lateral surface area (L.S.A.) of a cube = 900 cm².

To Find :

  • The length of the sides of a cube.

Solution :

Given,

Lateral surface area (L.S.A.) of a cube = 900 cm²

We know that,

Lateral surface area (L.S.A.) = 4a²

Where,

• a = side.

That means,

:\implies \rm 4 {a}^{2}  = 900 { \: cm}^{2}  \\  \\ :\implies \rm  {a}^{2}  =  \frac{900 \:  {cm}^{2} }{4}  \\  \\ :\implies \rm   {a }^{2}  = \dfrac{450}{2}  \:  {cm}^{2}  \\  \\ :\implies \rm   {a}^{2}  = {225}  \:  {cm}^{2}  \\  \\ :\implies \rm a =  \sqrt{225 \:  {cm}^{2} }  \\  \\ :\implies \rm a = 15 \: cm \\  \\  \:  \:  \therefore \:  \:  \rm a = 15 \: cm

Hence,

The length of the side of a cube is 15 cm.
