if the lateral surface of a cube is 8cm²find the length of its diagonal​

Lateral surface area of cube is (4a square )

therefore the side will be

4a2 = 8

a2 = 2

a = √2

therefore take it as a side of one triangle in cube with its one diagonal ;

so by Pythagoras theorem;

AC2 = AB2 + BC2 ....( note ..2 and sq. is square )

AC2= √2 sq + √2 sq

AC2 = 4

therefore AC = 2
