Given :-

  • Perimeter of Rectangle = 22 m
  • length of rectangle is 5 less than 3 times its breadth.

To Find :-

  • Area of Rectangle

Solution :-

Let breadth be 'x'

and length be '3x - 5'

Perimeter = 22 m

\huge{\boxed{\color{coral}{Perimeter\:=\:2×(L+B)}}}

Where,

  • L = length
  • B = breadth

Substituting the value in the above formula,

 \leadsto22 = 2(3x - 5 + x)

\leadsto22 = 6x - 10  +  2x

\leadsto22 = 8x - 10

\leadsto22 + 10 = 8x

\leadsto32 = 8x

\leadsto \frac{32}{8}  = x

\leadsto \frac{ \cancel  {32}}{ \cancel {8} } = x

\huge{\boxed{\color{indigo}{x\:=\:4m}}}

Now,

Breadth = x = 4m

Length = 3x - 5 = 3×4 - 5 = 12 - 5 = 7m

\huge{\boxed{\color{cyan}{Area\:=\:L \times B}}}

Where,

  • L = length
  • B = breadth

Substituting the value in the above formula,

\mapsto{Area\:=\:4 \times 7}

\huge{\boxed{\color{magenta}{Area\:=\:28m²}}}

Hope it helps.......

Give me 30 thanks........
