GIVEN :

Length of the Rectangle = 10cm

Width of the Rectangle = 20cm

Length of the diagonal of Rectangle = ?

We know that,

Length of diagonal = √(l² + b²)

According to the problem,

Length of diagonal :

= √(10² + 20²)

= √(100 + 400)

= √500

= 22.36

Therefore, the length of diagonal is 22.36cm.

• The length and breadth a rectangular field are 10 cm and 20 cm.

Length (l) = 10cm

Breadth (b) = 20cm

• We have to find the length of it's diagonal.

____________________________

Length of diagonal =  \sqrt{ {length}^{2} \:  +  \:  {breadth}^{2}  }

Put the known the values in above formula.

=>  \sqrt{( {10)}^{2} \:  +  \:  {(20)}^{2}  }

=> \sqrt{100 \:  +  \: 400}

=> \sqrt{500}

=> 22.360

=> 22.36 cm

Length of the diagonal of the rectangle is 22.36 cm
