The length and breadth a rectangular field are 10 cm and 20 cm.

Length (l) = 10cm

Breadth (b) = 20cm

• We have to find the length of it's diagonal.

____________________________

Length of diagonal = \sqrt{ {length}^{2} \: + \: {breadth}^{2} }length2+breadth2

Put the known the values in above formula.

=> \sqrt{( {10)}^{2} \: + \: {(20)}^{2} }(10)2+(20)2

=> \sqrt{100 \: + \: 400}100+400

=> \sqrt{500}500

=> 22.360

=> 22.36 cm

_____________________________

Length of the diagonal of the rectangle is 22.36 cm
