let the length of rectangle be l and breadth be b

then the perimeter of rectangle =2(l+b)

if the length and breadth of a rectangle are double length becomes 2l and breadth becomes 2b

now perimeter =2(2l+2b)

4(l+b)

if the length and breadth of a rectangle are double the perimeter doubles

hope this helps you
