let length of rectangle was x.
and breadth y.
perimeter of rectangle = 2(l+b)
=2 (x+y)
new length =4x
new breadth =4y
new perimeter = 2(l+b)
= 2(4x+4y)
comparing of perimeter = 2(4x+4y)÷ 2(x+y)
= 2×4(x+y)÷2(x+y)
=4 times
area of rectangle =length*breadth
= xy
new area of rectangle = length*breadth
= 4x×4y
= 16xy
comparing of area = 16xy ÷xy
= 16times
