Let the length be (l) cm

Let the breadth be (b) cm

Perimeter = 2l + 2b

= 2(l+b) cm

New length and breadth = 2l and 2b

Perimeter = 4l+4b

= 4(l+b)

Therefore, the perimeter also becomes double
