Hello friend

Length of a garden is 91/2

Breadth of a garden is 47/2

So, we need to find the length of the wire to build a fence around the garden i.e we need to find the perimeter

Perimeter is given by 2(length+breadth)

=2(91/2+47/2)

=2*138/2

=138cm

It is to be fenced in three layers

So the total length of the wire required is 3*138

=414cm

To build a fence around the garden, we need to find its perimeter.

For a rectangle, perimeter is

2(l + b) (l=length, b=breadth)
=2(91/2 + 47/2)
=91 + 47
=138 m

So, the perimeter of the garden is 138 meters.

But we need a three layered fence, so we need thrice the length of perimeter.

So, length of fence = 3×138
= 414 m

Thus, we require 414 meters of barbed wire
