Let the length be 5x and the perimeter be 18x.

Let the breadth be b.

Perimeter = 18x

2(5x + b) = 18x

10x + 2b = 18x

2b = 18x - 10x

2b = 8x

b = 8x / 2

b = 4x

∴ Ratio of length to breadth

= 5x : 4x

= 5 : 4
