If the Length, Breadth, and Height of a Cuboid are in the Ratio 6 : 5 : 4 and the Total Surface Area of the Cuboid is 33300 cm2. What is the Breadth of the Cuboid?

Solution

Given :-

  • Ratio of Length , breadth & Height of cuboid is = 6:5:4
  • Total surface area of cuboid = 33,300 cm².

Find :-

  • Breadth of cuboid .

Explanation.

Let,

  • Length be of cuboid = 6x
  • Breadth = 5x
  • Height = 4x

Using Formula.

where,

  • L = Length
  • B = Breadth
  • H = Height

keep value,

==> Total surface area if cuboid = 2(6x + 5x + 4x)

==> 33,300 = 2(15x)

==> 30x = 33,300

==> x = 33,300/30

==> x = 3330/3

==> x = 1110

Since

==> Length of cuboid = 6x

==> Length of cuboid = 6×1110

==> Length of cuboid = 6,660 cm

And,

==> Breadth of cuboid = 5x

==> Breadth of cuboid = 5×1,110

==> Breadth of cuboid = 5,550 cm

And

==> Height of cuboid = 4x

==> Height of cuboid = 4×1,110

==> Height of cuboid = 4,440 cm

2(lb+bh+hl) = 33300

6x×5x + 5x×4x + 4x×6x = 16650

30x^2 + 20x^2 + 24x^2 = 16650

x = 15

so, breadth = 5x
