Answer:

If the length, breadth and height of a cuboid is doubled the volume becomes 8 times to its original volume.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given:-

Length ,breadth and height of a cuboid are doubled

To find:-

If the length, breadth and height of a cuboid is doubled then the change in volume of the cuboid

Solution:-

Let the length of the cuboid =l units

Breadth of the cuboid=b units

Height of the cuboid=h units

The volume of the cuboid (V)=lbh cubic.units---(1)

If length is doubled it becomes 2l units

If breadth is doubled it becomes 2b units

If height is doubled it becomes 2h units

then the volume of the cuboid after the measurements are doubled

=>2l×2b×2h

=>8lbh cubic units

=>8(lbh) cubic units

=>8V cubic units(from (1))

Answer:-

If the length, breadth and height of a cuboid is doubled the volume becomes 8 times to its original volume.
