area of quadrilateral = 1/2(sum of perpendiculars dropped from opposite sides)diagonal
=1/2×(4+6)×10
5×10 cm square
=50 cm square

Answer:

Area of the quadrilateral = 50 cm^{2}

Step-by-step explanation:

the length of a diagonal of quadrilateral  = 10 cm

length of the perpendicular on it opposite vertices are 4 cm, 6 cm

area of the quadrilateral =  \frac{1}{2} ( dagonal) (perpendicular heights )

                                          = \frac{1}{2} (10)( 4+6)

                                          =  5(10) = 50   cm^{2}

the area of the quadrilateral = 50 cm^{2}
