Step-by-step explanation:

the diagonal of a square is 6√2cm

in a square all sides are equal

according to Pythagoras theorem

hypotenuse ^2 = (side)^2 +(side)^2

here,

(6√2)^2 = 2(side)^2

72 = 2(side)^2

36=(side)^2

side = 6cm

so,

the side of the square is 6cm

perimeter of a square = 4(side)

perimeter =4(6)

perimeter=24 cm

area of a square=(side)^2

area=36cm^2
