If the length of a rectangle is 14 cm more than its breadth and its perimeter is 180cm then area of the rectangle is ?

length=x+14
breadth=x
perimeter=2(l+b)

therefore

180=2(x+14+x)
180=4x+28
4x=152
x=38
length=38+14
          =52
area= 52 x 38
       =1976

Let the breath be x Therefore the length is 14x W. K. T. Perimeter of rectangle 180cm = 2(l+b) 180cm = 2(14x+x) 180cm = 2* 15x 180/2= 15x 90=15x 90x15=x 6cm = x= breath Therefore length= 6*14 =84 cm
