Answer:

let the breadth be x

So the length is 3x

Perimeter of a Rectangle=2(l+b)=32

2(3x+x)=32

8x=32

so, x=32/8

=4

So the breadth of rectangle is 4 units.

I hope this helps you.

Answer:

let the length x and breadth be y.

A.T.Q --- x= 3y ---------- 1

perimeter = 32

perimeter = 2 ( l+ b)

32 = 2(x+y)

32 = 2 (3y + y )

32 = 2 × 4y

32 = 8y

32/8 = y

y= 4

put y in 1

x = 3 × 4

x= 12

so , length = 12 units

breadth = 4 units .
