Given :

  • Length of rectangle is 4cm more than its breadth.
  • Perimeter of Rectangle is 28cm.

To Find :

  • Area of Rectangle.

Solution :

\longmapsto\tt{Let\:Breadth\:be=x}

If length of rectangle is 4cm more than its breadth.So ,

\longmapsto\tt{Length=x+4}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{Perimeter\:of\:Rectangle=2(l+b)}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{28=2(x+4+x)}

\longmapsto\tt{\cancel\dfrac{28}{2}=2x+4}

\longmapsto\tt{14-4=2x}

\longmapsto\tt{10=2x}

\longmapsto\tt{x=\cancel\dfrac{10}{2}}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{x=5}

So , The value of x is 5..

Therefore :

\longmapsto\tt{Length=5+4}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{9cm}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{Breadth=5cm}

Now :

\longmapsto\tt{Length=9cm}

\longmapsto\tt{Breadth=5cm}

Using Formula :

\longmapsto\tt\boxed{Area\:of\:Rectangle=length\times{breadth}}

Putting Values :

\longmapsto\tt{9\times{5}}

\longmapsto\tt\bold{45cm}

So , The area of rectangle is 45cm..
