Answer:

let the breadth be x cm

then, length = x + 5 cm

now,

perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

=> 38 = 2( x + 5 + x)

=> 38/2 = 2x + 5

=> 19 - 5 = 2x

=> 14 = 2x

= > x = 7

so, breadth = 7 cm

and length = 7 + 5 = 12 cm

Answer:

let the breadth be b cm

then ,

length = b + 5

now,

perimeter of rectangle = 2( l + b)

=> 38 = 2( b + 5 + b)

=> 38 /2 = 2b + 5

=> 19 - 5 = 2b

=> 14 = 2b

=> b = 14/2 = 7

so, breadth= 7 m

and length = 7 + 5 = 12 m.
