Step-by-step explanation:

let the length of the rectangle is X

let the breadth of rectangle is Y

area of rectangle is length × breadth=XY

given length of rectangle is decreased by 5 so X - 5

given breadth of rectangle is increased by 8 so Y - 8

given area of rectangle increased by 18. so XY + 18

the linear equation in 2 variables =

(X - 5)×(Y - 8)=(XY + 18)

substitute the values of X and Y one after one ....u will get the values and draw the graph by the values

let x is the length of rectangle and d is width

then initial area =xy

according to question ,

(x-5)(y+8)=xy+18

xy+8x-5y-40=xy+18

8x-5y=68
