Answer:

let breadth of the rectangle is x m

then length is 2x m

perimeter=2(length+breadth)=40

=> 2(2x+x)=40

=> 6x=40

=> x=40/6=20/3

area =2x.x=2x^2=2.400/9 sq m=800/9 sq m

area =800/9 sq m=88.88 sq m
