and breadth be y.
area = xy
according to given condition
$(x + 8)(y) = xy + 72 \\ xy + 8y = xy + 72 \\ 8y = 72 \\ y = \frac{72}{8} \\ y = 9$
Therefore the breadth of rectangle is 9 m.
