If the length of a rectangle is increased by
20% and breadth is decreased by 10%.
Find the percentage change in the area
of that rectangle ?

Let L, B & A be the initial length , breadth & area respectively of the rectangle. Hence, increase in area = (108/100 -1). l.b = 8/100*lb = 8% . Ans.
