if the length of a rectangle is reduced by 1cm and breadth is increase by 1cm its area would increase by 2sq.cm . but if the length is increase by 2cm and breadth is reduced by 1cm , the area would increase by 7sq.cm. find the length and breadth of rectangle​

if A = length * width is the original area, the new area A’ will be related to A by

A’ = length’ * width’

= (1.10 * length) * (1.08 * width)

= (1.10 * 1.08) * (length * width)

= 1.188 * (length * width)

= 1.188 * A

The area will increase by 18.8%.
