Answer:

Length = 40 m

Perimeter = 120 m

Let, breadth be = a

So,

2 (40 + a) = 120

=> 40 + a = 120/2

=> 40 + a = 60

=> a = 60 - 40

=> a = 20

Breadth = 20 m

Ans. 20 m

Formula of perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

Here, we have used this formula, calculated and got the ans.

Hope it helps.

Answer :

  • breadth of rectangular park is 20m

Given :

  • length of rectangular park is 40m
  • Perimeter of park is 120m

To find :

  • breadth of rectangular park

Solution :

As we know that :

  • Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

⇢ Perimeter of rectangle = 2(length + breadth)

⇢ 120 = 2(40 + b)

⇢ (40 + b) = 120/2

⇢ (40 + b) = 60

⇢ b = 60 - 40

⇢ b = 20m

Hence breadth of rectangular park is 20m

Verification :

  • Perimeter of rectangle =2( length + breadth )

⇢ 2(40 + 20)

⇢ 2(60)

⇢ 120m.

Hence breadth of rectangular park is 20m
