Answer:

Perimeter of park = 130 m

Total cost of fencing = $ 650

Step-by-step explanation:

Breadth of park = 16.25 m (b)

Length of park = 3b = 3 x 16.25

                                 = 48.75 m (l)

Perimeter of the park = 2(l + b)

                                    = 2 ( 16.25 + 48.75)

                                    = 2 x 65

                                    = 130 m

Cost of fencing = $ 5/m

Total cost of fencing = 5 x 130

                                   = $ 650

Hope this helps

Answer :

  • Perimeter of garden is 130m
  • $650 is the cost of fencing it at $ per metre.

Given :

  • The length of a rectangle park is thrice its breadth
  • Breadth is 16.25m

To find :

  • Perimeter of garden
  • The cost of fencing it at $5 per metre

Solution :

  • Breadth of rectangular is 16.25m

Length of a rectangle park is thrice its breadth so,

》3 × 16.25

》48.75m

  • Length of rectangular park is 48.75m

As we know that,

  • Perimeter of garden = 2(l + b)

Where , l is length and b is breadth

》Perimeter of garden = 2(l + b)

》2(48.75 + 16.25)

》2(65)

》 130 m

Hence , Perimeter of garden is 130m

Now , we need to find the cost of fencing it at $ 5 per metre

》130 × 5

》$650

Hence , $650 is the cost of fencing it at $ per metre.
