If the length of a wire is doubled and area of croos section is halved find change in resistance and resistivity

resistance will become four times of the initial because

R= rho×l/A

from here R is proportional to the length and inversly proportional to the area

hence R'=4R
and resistivity remains unchanged because it is material dependent quantity
