By your question it states that both are similar triangles. Now take asides suppose AB (1st triangle) = 1 cm
& PQ (2nd triangle) = 1.5 cm
They are in proportion means
AB/PQ = 1/1.5 = 10/15 = 2/3
Their area is AB^2/PQ^2
1st triangle's area = 4 cm^2
2nd triangle's area = 9 cm^2
Increased in area = 9 - 4 = 5 cm^2
% Increase in area = 5/4 x 100
= 125 %
& PQ (2nd triangle) = 1.5 cm
