We know that,

BY Pythagorean theorem,

a^2+b^2=c^2

3^2+b^2=12^2

9+c^2=144

c^2=144-9

c^2=135

c=√135

c=11.61

Height = 11.6 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

GIVEN

Hypotenuse = 12 cm

Base = 3 cm

TO FIND

Height

To solve this question we have to use Pythagoras Theorem

We know that,

➤ Pythagoras Theorem

➤ Hypotenuse² = Base² + Height²

___________________________

We know that,

Hypotenuse² = Base² + Height²

Here,

Hypotenuse = 12 cm

Base = 3 cm

Height = ?

We know that,

Hypotenuse² = Base² + Height²

Height² = Hypotenuse² - Base²

Height² = 12² - 3²

Height² = 144 - 9

Height² = 135

Height = √135

Height = 11.6

Height = 11.6 cm
