Step-by-step explanation:

a² + b² = c²

where c is hypotenuse

c = 5√2 cm (given)

c² = a² + b²

c² = a² + a² (a = b; equal sides , Isoceles triangle)

(5√2)² = 2a²

5×5×√2×√2 = 2a²

25×2 = 2a²

50 = 2a²

2a² = 50

a² = 50/2

a² = 25

a×a = 5×5 (prime factorisation of 25)

a = 5 cm

So the sides are 5cm , 5cm & 5√2cm

& I am getting what are you asking in your question , So, use this data Hope this will help you to solve your problem :)
