Given :  the length of one diagonal and one side of a rhombus are 24 cm and 15 cm respectively,

To Find :  the length of other diagonal.

Solution:

In a rhombus :

Side²   = (d₁/2)²  + (d₂/2)²

d₁ and  d₂ are diagonals

=> 15² =  (24 /2)²  + (d₂/2)²

=>  15² =  (12)²  + (d₂/2)²

=> 225  = 144 + (d₂/2)²

=> 81 =  (d₂/2)²

=> 9 = d₂/2

=> d₂ = 18 cm

Hence length of other diagonal. is 18 cm
