Given :- if the length of one diagonal and one side of a rhombus are 24cm and 15 cms respectively then find the length of other diagonal ?

Solution :-

given that,

→ One diagonal of rhombus = 24 cm

→ Side of rhombus = 15 cm .

since we know that,

  • all sides of rhombus are equal .
  • Diagonal bisect each other at 90° .

Let length of other diagonal is 2x cm .

then,

→ x² + (24/2)² = 15² { By pythagoras theorem.}

→ x² + 144 = 225

→ x² = 225 - 144

→ x² = 81

→ x = 9

then,

→ Length of other diagonal = 2x = 2 * 9 = 18 cm (Ans.)
