Step-by-step explanation:

We have give that the radius of circle is increased by 20%.

we know that the Area of Circle = πr^2

A1 = πr^2, this is the area of circle when intially area is A1 and radius is r.

When the radius is increased by 100%.

R = r + 20% of r. = 1.2r

Then area of the circle be A2 = π R^2

A2 = π (1.2r)^2= 2.88 π r^2 = 2.88 A1 ( A1 = πr^2)

Percentage increased in the Area = (( A2- A1)/A1)×100

=((2.88A1-A1)/A1)×100

= 188%
