If the length of rectangle is 12 metre more then its breadth. Then find the area perimeter is 120 m

Solution :

Let the dimensions of a

rectangle :

breadth = b m

length ( l ) = ( b + 12 )m

i ) Perimeter (P) = 120m

=> 2( l + b ) = 120

=> 2( b + 12 + b ) = 120

=> 2b + 12 = 120/2

=> 2b + 12 = 60

=> 2b = 60 - 12

=> b = 48/2

=> b = 24 m

l = b + 12

= 24 + 12

l = 36 m

ii ) Area ( A ) = lb

= 36m × 24m

= 864 m²
