Given, Length of rectangle = (x+2) cm

Breadth of rectangle = (x+1) cm

Area of rectangle = Length x breadth

= (x+1)(x+2)

= x² + 2x + x + 2

= x² + 3x +2 cm²

Hope it helps you

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that,The area of the rectangle=length*breadth

Now given that,

length= (x+2)cm

breadth=(x+1)cm

So, according to the formula of area of rectangle= length*breadth

=(x+2)*(x+1)

=x2+2x+x+2

=x2+3x+2
