If the length of side of a cube is doubled , then the ratio volumes of new cube and original cube is

Answer:

Let the side of cube = x

So, Volume = x³

  • But if we double the side of the given cube then,

Side = 2x

Volume = (2x)³ = 8x³

Ratio volume of new cube and original cube

→  8x³ / x³

→ 8 / 1

→8 : 1
