Answer :

Length of simple pendulum = 88.2cm

Acc. due to gravity = 9.8m/s²

We have to find time period of simple pendulum.

★ Time period of simple pendulum in terms of length of pendulum and acceleration due to gravity is given by

  • T = 2π × √(l/g)

T denotes time period

l denotes length

g denotes acc. due to gravity

Conversion :

  • 100 cm = 1 m
  • 88.2 cm = 88.2/100 = 0.882 m

Calculation :

⭆ T = 2π × √(l/g)

⭆ T = 2(3.14) × √(0.882/9.8)

⭆ T = 6.18 × √0.09

⭆ T = 6.18 × 0.3

T = 1.85 s

Cheers!
