angular velocity does not depend on length
it only depends on angle swept by it
so angular velocity of every clocks minute hand will be same which is as shown

2π = 360°

Given:

Length of minute hand of a clock=1cm

To Find:

Its angular velocity.

Solution:

In case of angular velocity it does not depend what is the length of minute hand.

It only depends on the angle covered by it.

So ,a minute hand takes 1hr to make a complete move means 2π

Here1hr=60mins=3600 seconds

So ,angular velocity(ω)=2π/T

                                      =2π/3600

                                     =0.00174 rad/sec

Hence, the angular velocity of minute hand of the clock is 0.00174 rad/sec.
