Let the height of the pole ( AB) = h .
Length of the shadow (BC ) = √3h
Let ϴ denotes the angle of elevation of the Sun.
In ∆ ABC , tan ϴ = perpendicular/base
tan ϴ = AB /BC
tan ϴ = h / √3 h.
tan ϴ = 1/√3
tan ϴ = tan 30°
ϴ = 30 °
Hence , the angle of elevation of the Sun is 30 °.
