If the lengths of the diagonals of a rhombus are 6 cm and 8 cm, find its sides. ​

Answer: 5 cm

STEP BY STEP EXPLANATION:

In triangle ABO,

AO =8/2=4. (diagnols bisect each other)

OB =6/2=3

Using Pythagorus Theorum,

AO^2 + BO^2= AB^2

4^2+3^2= AB^2

16+9= AB^2

25=AB^2

5=AB

We know all sides of a rhombus are equal, thus, sides =5cm
