Answer

In 2x+5y+1=0 for x=2, y=-1; for x=7, y=-3

Slope of the line=(-1+3)/(2–7)=-2/5

3x+2ky=3

Y=(-3/2k)x+3/2k

The lines are parallel so

@-2/5=-3/2k

Multiplying by -10k we get 4K =15; k=15/4

Answer:

k = 3.75  k \neq -1/3

Step-by-step explanation:

For parallel lines,

a1\a2 = b1\b2 \neq c1/c2

3/2=2k/5

k = 15/4

k = 3.75

2k/5 \neq  2/-15\\k \neq  5*2/2*-15\\k\neq -1/3
