If the lines x+y = 6 and x + 2y = 4 are diameters of the circle which passes through the points (2,6) then find its equation .

Solution :- Here centre will be the point of intersection of the diameter , i.e ,,C(8,-2)

Also , the centre passes through the point P(2,6) . the radius is CP = 10

Hence, the required equation is

(x -8)² +(y + 2)² = 10²

or, x² + y² - 16x + 4y - 32 = 0
