let r = original price
x = no .of toys
rx = 360
r=360/x
(r-2)(x+2) = 360
rx +2p -2x -4 = 360
360 + 2(360/x) -2x -4 = 360
720/x - 2x -4 = 0
720 - 2x² - 4x =0
2x² + 4x -720 =0
x² + 2x -360 =0
(x + 20)(x - 18) = 0
x = -20 and x = 18
the negative value can't be taken so we
choose x = 18
rx = 360
r = 360/x = 360/18
r = 20
∴r=rs20
